Indigo Justice is a night blood (vampire) on a mission. She is trying to escape the expectations of her parents, who do not love her. That's why she fights in the pits of the supernatural and works in a bar. Above all, she avoids any contact with her parents and doesn't go home. Her father decides enough is enough and arranges for her to join the Nightwatch Academy, where supernatural beings learn to police themselves and where the Shadow Knights train to fight the Fomorians ("bad guys") to protect the supernatural world and humanity. She hates being forced into the Nightwatch Academy and doesn't really try hard. Her classmates get annoyed with her and her attitude, and she's not very popular. One night, during a routine school ceremony, it is discovered that she has the gene that makes her a Shadow Knight, and she becomes the first woman to receive this training. But then students are attacked and lose their memories. It's up to the Shadow Knights to protect the students and find out who is behind the attacks.
